Confirmed from Pleasant Valley Area - Battelle Darby Creek Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

We love Batelle and this is another absolutely beautiful part of it. Easy to locate. When you pull in, there is a parking area immediately to the left but if you want to get to the ponds and trails, you want to keep going down the road. As of note, there is a part of the road that is one vehicle only over the bridge.

Trails are well maintained and easy to follow. There are some improvements to the trails that make it easier to connect to different areas with connector trails.

Noticed a lot of people fishing. The trails in this area at the beginning and for a majority of the path were grass, nicely groomed and about 6’ wide. At one point goes into the woods and along the lake. Easy to follow paths. Entire loop (AllTrails map combined both) was about 2.25 miles. Signs show 1 mile for each.

What a fantastic spot! We went for the first time and had a great time exploring the trails. There are just a couple nice trails that go through the woods, along the ponds, and along the creek. It's peaceful and scenic and fun for kids to explore.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
