Point Defiance Park is one of the best outdoor spots I’ve visited in the Tacoma area. The hiking trails are well-maintained, quiet, and surrounded by gorgeous forest. I even spotted a deer during my walk — such a cool and unexpected moment!
I love finding easily accessible things to do on a budget, and this park never disappoints! From the gorgeous water features with turtles, ducks, and geese, to the several completely free gardens, there's something to see at every season. Not to mention an absolutely breath taking view of Mt.
it’s a true gem nestled in the heart of Tacoma. This expansive urban oasis spans over 760 acres and features everything from old-growth forest and stunning gardens to scenic trails, beaches, and wildlife-rich overlooks The variety here is incredible.
This is a beautiful park with plenty of space for a picnic or for the kids to run and play. Be aware of the goose poo. It is everywhere. All of the gardens are beautiful and not overly large. The rose garden smells beautiful and the Japanese garden is cute.
