Confirmed from Point San Bruno Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Point San Bruno Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (81 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 9 mentions

“Killed time here before heading to the airport ✈️ great views of the city from this spot on the rocks.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“A nice quiet trail for a leisurely walk any time of the day.”

Bay trail access. Walk or bike. If you walk, know that not all cyclists are skillful or give warning. If you cycle, be aware that some walkers have hearing loss or can't respond quickly. You can watch planes take off from airport.

The fishing is totally awesome here. It's a gorgeous spot. Beautiful view of the bay. Nice bicycle trail. Clean picnic tables and newer benches for viewing. Good access to the water. Seals and Otters swimming. There are some Sharks as some of the guys caught a few. 1 Leopard shark was nearly 4 foot long.

Killed time here before heading to the airport ✈️ great views of the city from this spot on the rocks. Also, really fun to rent scooters here and scoot around the trail. Great way to end our trip

★★★★★ — Ray , Apr 2022

A nice quiet trail for a leisurely walk any time of the day. There are benches along the path if one chooses to take a break and take in the view, with regular sighting of wild life and planes.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
