Confirmed from Ponderosa Trails Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Small neighborhood park with a playground, picnic/BBQ shelter, walking path & portable restrooms.
What runners say about Ponderosa Trails Park
“Very peaceful and plenty of things to keep the kiddos happy and entertained.”
What a delightful neighborhood park! It’s not huge, but it has some wonderful amenities. The kids in this Railroad Springs community must love this park. What I found most amazing was a zip-line structure.
It was snowy and having never been here before we didn't know how to find the trail behind the school. Also, there is no parking lot. But you can park on the street across from the school and walk the trail or park on the main road on the other side of the park.
Had a great time. The hill is shaded all day so even though there was very little snow in some places, the hill had a couple inches of packed powder. There is parking on the street. This park is in a neighborhood, so be sure to respect the residents and pick up after yourself. Otherwise, dress warm and have fun!
Great little playground for kids and some really nice trails leading to the surrounding neighborhoods.
Trail conditions & character
“Only bad thing was the parking however we got here early enough it wasn't an issue but around 10:30 it would have been difficult to find parking.”
