Ahhhhh...a breath of fresh air. I've spent ten years in Colorado, recently moved to Kitsap. Took my first Washington bike ride here. Don't get me wrong, ten years ago, I loved doing big drops and climbing for three hours straight. I used to be a pain-is-pleasure, type 2 fun mountain biker.
Wonderful project to restore the forest, although a timber company still has rights to log for a little longer. It's a remarkably large area so you can stay in undisturbed forest that hasn't been recently logged. It seems like a perfect place to mountain bike, too.
Great place to hike in North Kitsap. Please do not develop this wild area. Many signs of animals. It's their home! Many berries as food for birds. Saw the beaver dam. And their lodge. Keep it WILD!
Great park for hiking, riding, dog walking and horseback riding! Good maps all around. Excellent bike park.
