Confirmed from Portland Municipal Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Community park offering 5 athletic fields, a playground, a splash pad, a track, and a fitness station.
What runners say about Portland Municipal Park
“Always clean, never really had any kind of bad experience there.”
“Beautiful area, great turf fields, decent restrooms, but toilet paper constantly is out in stalls.”
It has a 1/2 mile walking track that surrounds the baseball fields which includes a practice area and two game fields. There is also a small food kiosk/seating area, where a basketball court is. A play section and fountain for kids (maybe adults too) and an outside gym. I like it. Peaceful (unless it's a game day).
So well kept. The bathrooms have air conditioning and are kept clean. The concessions accept cards and tap to pay. The fields are a soft turf and there is adequate shade.
This is a safe, clean park! Kids and adults come and go using the various amenities. There is an exercise station for the athletically inclined, a running track, softball fields, and covered basketball courts that can double as a Pavillion. Children especially love the playscape and splash pad.
Definitely a very nice park. Really nice baseball fields, nice soft running track, splash pad was up and running, lots of parking, and there is an exercise area for the adults while their kids are playing. Only thing I disliked is they try to tell you you can’t bring in outside good or drink.
