Confirmed from Violet Andrews Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Relaxing park featuring a beach and a walking trail as well as picnic tables and a playground.
What runners say about Violet Andrews Park
“The park was clean and tidy.”
“Beautiful place to have a morning coffee while listening to the tides and watching the sunrise.”
“It’s just an amazing quiet and quaint little spot to enjoy.”
I love it here! There is a short trail to walk or bike on. You can walk down to the water. There’s tons of oyster shells, the birds are chirping and it’s a great place for kids. You can walk out pretty far into the water and it’s barely past my ankles.
I was headed back to Refugio from the dentist in Portland, Texas and happened to glance down this street. What a lovely park with a walking path going off into the distance. The view of the bay is spectacular with plenty of seating. The park was clean and tidy.
A nice little Spot to go for a walk or run. Walk the dogs. It has a little walking trail and also a great place to go fishing. It is very Well maintained. This was my favorite spot in Portland. When I loved there 5 years ago. The place where I got to see a shooting star for the first time in more than 10 years.
The kids had fun! A quaint little park but perfect for younger kids or older kids wanting to explore the trails.
