Confirmed from Potter Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Trailhead parking

Relaxed park for the village featuring a playground, plus tennis and baseball courts.

What runners say about Potter Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (152 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“Potter Park is used for many events and is a family friendly area.”

My daughters and I went here for a Halloween Parade. It was very loud and crowded. There were a lot of people and fun activities for kids to take part in like hot apple cider and the costume judging contest. The local school district does the Halloween Parade every year and they march from the school to Potter Park.

Always driving by to bring my kids to jp for school. I often stop here to play pokemon go and make any blue or red towers into yellow 💛 😎🤷‍♀️😁😉👍😆👀⚠️☀️🌞 so I rather enjoy this little pit stop. And yeahhh... sometimes I do bring my children to play at the little playground or to do some tennis or basketball 🏀 as well.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🅿️ Trailhead parking 4 mentions

“There wasn't any parking available at the park, but there was parking available on the side streets.”
