Confirmed from Poudre Natural Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Grassy park with an off-leash area for dogs to roam and socialize, plus picnic tables.
What runners say about Poudre Natural Area
“Excellent park with the soft grass, and very clean!”
Beautiful nature area with the river, abundant birds and insects. Great walking and biking paths.
A great outdoor spot with tons of connecting trails that lead all over and back into town
We found this place to be a great place to take our dogs to let them run or walk around without being tied to a leash and get some good exercise. The dog parents can sit to visit with each other or with friends.
The dog park was great. Lots of shade and a good area for our dogs to run. Much of the path was under construction when we went but we will be back when the construction is finished.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
