Confirmed from Poulsbo Wilderness Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

👟 good for all levels 4 mentions

“Easy hike along a small river with many foot tall waterfalls.”

A beautiful nature escape that makes you feel miles away from the hubbub as you listen to the creek and the wind blowing through the trees. It's a short in and out trail but worth it if you're in the area.

★★★★☆ — Charmaine , May 2022

Wonderful trail across the street from Poulsbo High Scool. Easy hike along a small river with many foot tall waterfalls. Ends at Starbucks. Perfect coffee hike.

★★★★★ — Kristina , Mar 2025

Short, easy hike. Start across the street at the high school, and end at Starbucks! Some graffiti on the trees, but easy walk that felt safe.

★★★★☆ — Jaime , May 2025

I loved this trail. It is an escape into a lush woods that feels like it is miles from civilization—in the center, for about 5 minutes, when I couldn't hear the road noise anymore. But still, it is really nice. Minus one star because one of the bridges is out and there's no return trail—no loop.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
