We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Powerline Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Powerline Trail
“Cant tell you how many times I've hiked this without a soul in sight despite the great power hike and beautiful views-a real little known gem!”
It is very nice and very easy plus you can enjoy scenery 360 view while you hiking on this trail.
Awesome hike up the powering road then go up the steep single track. Great views from the top.
No real place to park for this, maps took me to someone's house to start. Found an open area on the side of the road about half a mile down to park. The hike will take you over an hour to get to the highest point even at a brisk pace. I went off trail and climbed some of the rocks to hit the highest peak.
One of my Favorites trails on top of Conejo Mountain. For those who don't know, it is the mountain you see on right when you go up to Newbury park from Camarillo. At less than 6 miles from Newbury park community Center to top of Conejo Mountain. Three sixty views await you as you get to the top.
Trail conditions & character
“The trail itself wasn't terribly hard; I had my 3 month old in a carrier, and I did stumble a bit on loose rocks, but go slow and the views are very cool.”
“The trails start there behind the baseball fields, just look for the trails among the hills.”
