Confirmed from Promenade Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Relaxed park for families with river views and a riverside promenade. Includes picnic spots, a playground and a splash pad, plus canoes and kayaks for rent for use on the St. Marys River.
What runners say about Promenade Park
“cross the bridge and there is a beautiful designed building with restroom facilities, a gorgeous splash area for the kids, plenty of seating, swings, ping pong tables, art, etc.”
My dad and I took part in the grand opening concert last night and this park is across the board fantastic! The play area for kids is full of interesting and unique play things. A canopy walk in the trees is a unique and wonderful addition.
FW has added a lot to downtown and this is one of the best multi-use spaces. It (finally) features the water/river. There are places to walk, play, sit, listen to music, have events like weddings, etc. It’s wonderful. Bring the whole family down and enjoy what FW has to offer.
Promenade Park is Fort Wayne’s crown jewel — a vibrant riverfront retreat that blends nature, play, and urban charm. It’s beautifully maintained and universally accessible, with smooth paths, ramps, a canopy trail, splash areas, playground, amphitheater, and even kayak rentals. The park’s design honors St.
Beautiful place to take the kids to play, nature walk, kayak, riverboat tour, scooters/ bike trails. Loved that it had a play area but even more so that it included a musical play area. The view was beautiful and the company was even better. Great edition to the Ft. Wayne parks and recreation spots.
