Confirmed from Prospect Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Natural setting offering rugged, wooded trails for walks, hikes, mountain biking & wildlife viewing.

A great place for a short hike in San Marcos, TX. We enjoyed the time and would visit again.
Great place to visit! You can hike, bike, run, jog or crawl through beautiful Texas landscapes. Bring your dog, and plenty of water out to the trails and see all the cacti, and other beautiful plants and animals.
This park is mainly for hiking, they do have areas with benches to relax and what looks like small amphitheater. The trails also connects to Purgatory Creek Natural Area. One of the minor drawbacks I found here is the trails are right next to a busy highway and the cars zooming by is definitely heard.
I'm a beginner mountain/trail biker and I love it here. It also connects to Purgatory trails if you want more advanced riding. Prospect seems to be less crowded than Purgatory.
Trail conditions & character
“One other minor annoyance was residential houses are with in view of some of the trails and some have dogs that are constantly barking nonstop.”
