Confirmed from Prospect Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Woodsy park featuring leafy trails and a pagoda, as well as ruins from a former estate.
What runners say about Prospect Park
“This place is so nice :) the trails are just gorgeous and the garden off of the cement trail is a bonus!”
“This is a very popular spot to walk dogs and is easy for all ages.”
Located in the heart of Shrewsbury, Prospect park is the remains of what was once a mansions garden which has recently been undergoing restoration. The mansion was razed in the 1970s but the pergola was left untouched. Off street unpaved parking has sapce for about 15 vehicles.
Prospect park is well near the town center of Shrewsbury. We came here on a weekday for the stroll and just spent 30 min or so. There is a parking available for 3-5 cars at max. The trail starting in front of the information Board will take you to one round.
There's definitely a beautiful area to check out if you are into sea and ruins like I am. There will be a parking lot for the area. And there are also 2 maps on the old trails app, which will take you in a loop. One is a little shorter than the other. Is definitely a very easy hike.
It's the perfect spot for whatever you were looking for. There are trails that all Connect into each other so if you want to do a short hike you can do 1 if you're looking for something longer you can do them all.

- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
