Confirmed from Quail Hollow Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

I absolutely love Quail Hollow! I've hiked endless miles and have mountain biked many times. Quail Hollow is like entering a whole new world. Go for a hike at Quail and everything seems to change perspective. So many photo shoots, this place is magical and purely special on so many levels.

Enjoyed a hike through an ice covered wonderland. Great place to hike throughout the year but I especially enjoy the trails in winter. Quail Hollow has a nice variety of rolling trails including meadows, wetlands and woodlands. Areas for mountain biking and horse riding are available.

This was my first time here, my friend and I came to hike the trails. This is a beautiful place, we walked behind the Manor House and it was decorated for Christmas! We saw a few deer and a Pileated Woodpecker and a bluebird! I can't wait to come back, I love bird watching and saw many birds on our hike 😍

Came here to ride the mountain bike trail. It was a pretty nice trail. With some roots, rocks and small climbs. Markings were easy to follow in most places but got confusing in a few spots especially for someone that has never ridden there.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
