Confirmed from Hoover Park Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

I love this trail. It's all gravel though; not paved. Close to Washington Square (stores, restaurants, Starbucks), Walsh, etc. It does not loop around so eventually you'll have to turn around. Covers a large area. I prefer to park by the baseball fields. Hope this helps!
Great trail tucked between Maple, Marquardt, and Market. Across from Walsh. Behind Market Square. Crushed gravel paths are fairly easy and level. Biking, walking, strollers. Saw a doe and 2 fawns. Others on path, but not crowded Wed morning.
Parked at the baseball field and jogged to Washington Square and back and it was around 3 miles. Nice, peaceful setting - a well-maintained nature trail. There were families who enjoyed ice cream at Washington Square mid-walk, people with dogs, and bicyclists. People were pretty friendly.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceCrushed gravel — the rail-trail classic: softer than asphalt, still smooth enough for tempo work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
