Confirmed from Quarry in Big River Management Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Quarry in Big River Management Area
“A very scenic place wonderful to bring small children on dirt bikes”
We have been bringing our dog here for over a decade. It's a great place to go and relax while allowing your dog to swim and or fish. Strictly catch and release. Anytime we run into other people, they are very friendly.
I have loved it here for years. Nice to still see it as beautiful as ever. My dogs are no longer with me, but when they were alive, this was the place to be! They loved to swim and walk the sprawling grounds. I still walk here without them, and it is just as I remember. So peaceful.
This is the only place my dog will go swimming. This dog hates water, but loves this ❤️. Definitely reccomend this place for walking or just playing with your dog especially reactive or non-friendly dogs just keep them on a long line.
Great place to walk, bring your dog. Must wear orange as it's hunting season. Lots of trails to take and see turtles and snakes if you're looking.
