Confirmed from Radnor Lake State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
1,368-acre park featuring a visitor center & 6 hiking trails that showcase native wildlife & plants.
What runners say about Radnor Lake State Park
“Nice clean visitors center with park history and other information.”
“With that being said when I did get in there were great trials, and a truly beautiful lake perfect for photos and admiring.”
“Radnor Lake State Park was a calm and relaxing place to spend part of the day.”
“I’d definitely come back for an easy walk and some peaceful time outdoors.”
Great park near Nashville. Visited the park twice as was visiting family for the holidays. My first visit was with my wife and we walked around the lake (3 miles) which was paved on one side and a dirt trail on the other.
Beautiful park, parking was very limited when we got there. (West parking lot). We did the 1.35 mile Lake Trail out and back (2.7 miles). We saw lots of wildlife and birds - blue heron, red shouldered hawk, painted turtles, wild turkey, Blue Jay's, a pileated woodpecker, and an ARMIDILLO!
We got up early for our daughters photography class at Radnor Lake. Whole an early Saturday hike isn’t something that I would choose - I wouldn’t have missed this. It was cool and so beautiful. We had two separate deer sightings and a large owl.
Beautiful and peaceful park. Different hiking trails of varying degrees of difficulty. Several plaques throughout telling the history of various structures. Park map available at the Visitor Center, and also online. Plan a visit!

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
