Confirmed from Rainier View City Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Rainier View City Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (85 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“It was clean and well maintained.”

No public bathroom. Can get very hot but does have some shady spots for sitting. Very nice quiet place. Neat disk swings and a triangle roundabout. The player stays fairly cool in the sun compared to other parks. On street parking only. Nice area. Has a large grass running field. Couple picnic tables by entrance.

Fun park without having to drive into town. Usually not too busy. It is fenced so helps you keep your kids safe. Lots of stuff to climb a d a couple slides. Swings are big and hold multiple kids. Also has park benches and picnic tables and little bbqs. Some grassy areas for running around as well.

This is just a small neighborhood park, so it doesn't have all the facilities of something larger, but it's clean, there's a nice play area with swings, slides and a sort of climbing structure on a merry-go-round. There's also a large field for running around or playing games.

We had some VERY happy kids on our hands when we went here. Very small park on the edge of a neighborhood with only street parking. Fenced trail that meds to the park itself with a bench, a playground, this thing my kids deemed "The Christmas tree" and a flying saucer swing!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

“Only down side is no bathroom.”
