We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Ralston Creek Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature preserve with trails for walking and biking.
What runners say about Ralston Creek Trail
“It's a small park with a dirt lot, but there's plenty of traffic in and out which tells me it's a good place to park and walk the dog or go for a bike ride.”
I biked the entirety of the trail (out and back) which was about 26 miles round trip. There is a slight elevation gain of around 250 feet, so fairly level with a few steep inclines as you approach Tucker Lake and Blunn Reservoir.
Im new to the Denver area. I've only been here a year and a half, but this bridge is my favorite spot to stop at on my way to work or back home. I Ride to work every day year round since moving to the area. The trails here are fabulous. The best I've ever seen. It really makes riding a pleasure.
Ralston Creek Trail is a path that winds through some of the Denver Area metro suburbs. I usually get in the is at the Gold Strike Park off 56th & Ralston Road. It's a small park with a dirt lot, but there's plenty of traffic in and out which tells me it's a good place to park and walk the dog or go for a bike ride.
Great bike trail, whether you go end to end, or pick a shorter route. Last couple miles are exposed to the sun (and involve a bit of a climb), so maybe best early in the day during the hot summer days. But the rest has a lot of shady areas and numerous parks.
