Confirmed from Ray Roberts Lake State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

The Best of North Texas Camping - Spacious Sites, Great Trails, and Lake Access! Ray Roberts Lake State Park (Isle du Bois unit) is an absolute gem and our favorite spot for a weekend getaway near DFW. It perfectly balances a beautiful natural setting with fantastic amenities.
This very large state park has something for everyone. There are trails to hike, bike, walk your dog or ride your horse. Plenty of camping slots, whether for tent, car, or RV camping. Only surprise is that there are no full hookups for RVs (or we never saw any).
Great place for camping! The park is peaceful and well kept, and I loved being able to see both the sunrise and sunset over the lake. Lots of wildlife too – we saw deer walking near the campsites. A beautiful spot to relax and enjoy nature.
I went here for one day camping and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I was in the Quail Run area and had easy access to the water. The water wasn't very deep where I was, unless you went out about 50 years from the shore, then it got to about chest high on a 6 foot person.
