Confirmed from Red Rock Canyon's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Scenic canyon featuring multiple trails, plus red-rock formations such as sandstone.

Great beginner hike with a mild incline and decent shade. Nice rock formations.

Pretty cool trails tucked away in between shopping centers. You leave suburbia and are transported to the middle of the forest and a desert. The first mile of this walk is very easy with plenty of trees and a small creek that runs through. Not too much climbing. The whole family can do it.

Wonderful trail and the payoff of the red rock canyon is amazing! OC’s hidden gem.

I'm in the top 10% of restaurant reviewers on Google, and it's the only social I regularly post on because it's not monetized, so it's actually relatively unbiased. You should check out my restaurant reviews. Never do I review parks until today.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
