Confirmed from Redhead Mountain Bike Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Mountain biking and hiking trails are built into an old mining pit with challenging climbs.
What runners say about Redhead Mountain Bike Park
“With ages in our group ranging from 3 to 63, we took a four-mile hike through winding wooded trails that open to gorgeous views along the rim.”
For the past year my wife and I have been traveling the country full time. We have biked in almost every state, at every major downhill park west of the Mississippi, ridden trail system in all major bike towns and I tell you what RedHead Mountian can rival the best of them. Really impressive system.
What is there that cannot be boasted about? Trails for all riding levels, wonderful views, diverse geography, and all within the uniqueness of an old mining pit. There is nothing like Redhead! We have been riding these trails all spring and summer and they are still challenging and fun. Redhead is not a place to miss!
Being a destination mountain bike park for most, I do recommend it, especially coming from Duluth. The hour and a half drive is worth it but not enough where I want to go back every week. Reminds me of Cuyuna but a lot smaller. The trials are clearly labeled with maps everywhere and stating if they are one or two ways.
Great park with well maintained and excellently thought out trails. A bit on the chunky side so I'd recommend a full suspension but everything rides amazing.
