Confirmed from Ridgefields Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Popular, peaceful place for walks, picnics and biking, and for kids to play, with playground equipment.

“A perfect park for me to take great grandson 16 mos old to play--very safe for kids & great variety of entertainment for kids of all ages”
Awesome park! Very safe for kids with a chained in playground and a soccer field. Also a nice walking track.
A Wonderful Day in Ridgefield Park – Perfect for Families! We had such a lovely experience visiting Ridgefield Park with our grandchild! It's a beautiful, family-friendly area that offers just the right mix of nature, play, and community charm.
Probably one of the best parks in the region. Excellent, neat, clean. The playground is well fenced off and plenty of seats for adults to relax while the kids play. Around the small park is a well paved walking pave that connects perfectly to the sidewalks.
Popular, but peaceful, place to take your kids to play, walk/run laps on a short course, or picnic with your family and friends. The park is well-kept and clean. There is a portable toilet and foot-operated sink. Overall an excellent community park!

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
