Confirmed from Rifle Camp Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
A 225-acre park with hiking trails, an amphitheater, fitness course & an astronomical observatory.

“The park is clean, family-friendly, and a great place to spend a few relaxing hours outdoors.”
Rifle camp is a wonderful place to observe nature and the beauty of the surrounding area. There are trails, and observatory, a pond, picnic areas, a bird trail and much more. Less crowded than the neighboring Garret Mountain, it's a terrific refuge for solace and families.
Very nice place to go and enjoy a quiet evening with your family and or girlfriend. My girlfriend and I always go there to unwind and just walk around with my girlfriends son's 🐕. Such a beautiful place to go any time of the year.
You can see New York City from the observatory, and the trails are very nice to walk. We didn't make it to the lake, but even the small pond has wildlife, and the cliffs surrounding it are fun to climb. Final plus: when we went in autumn, it was so fun to swish through all the leaves on the trail!
First time checking it out. The yellow trail can be a bit challenging for some but meanders through the park, making you feel far away from everything.
