Confirmed from Rio Concho Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Waterfront place with baseball fields, a playground & a boat ramp, plus flower gardens & paths.
What runners say about Rio Concho Park
“It's very well taken care of and clean.”
“Rio Concho Park is a beautiful spot to stop and take a mild stroll along the paved path next to the Rio Concho River.”
“Nice, serene, quiet place for a stroll”
Short and sweet. Very different from The San Antonio river walk, I like this one because it’s all natural.
Rio Concho Park is a beautiful spot to stop and take a mild stroll along the paved path next to the Rio Concho River. There are many different species of wildlife and plants to view along the way. Along the path are benches with and without shade for your liking.
The scenes are great! Friendly staff at the welcoming building. There is a lot of historical information that the staff knows and is really good to know. I'm very pleased with the large area available for the kids to run around and let loose. The wood chips can be rather difficult to remove from certain clothes though.
Such a beautiful little walk! The flowers have lots of bees hanging around for obvious reasons, but it was still enjoyable. Lots of butterflies too! It was very clean and well kept. The gazebo has some spider webs, but that's expected. I'm happy we stumbled upon this on our drive.
