We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Riparian Nature Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Riparian Nature Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (5 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Wonderful views and an excellent hike up the Dog Canyon Trail. The other trail has a lot of poison ivy around it so make sure you’re paying attention.

★★★★★ — Christopher , Nov 2021

Great place to take kids for a walk. Kids had a good time splashing in the pools.

★★★★★ — Solomon , Apr 2021

The Riparian Nature Trail is a short walk that starts behind the visitor center and ends at a natural spring at the base of Dog Canyon. The trail is easy to follow. At the end is a little green oasis and a sign indicating that back in the day, Oliver Lee built an irrigation line from the spring to his home 1.

★★★★☆ — Dawn , Oct 2025

Kleiner Trail der am Visitor Center des Oliver Lee Memorial Campgrounds entlang führt. Gerade im Frühjahr wenn alles blüht ein Farbentraum.

Listing verified July 2026 from public records, the trail's own website and runner reviews. Trail conditions change — paths flood, gates close at dusk, and shaded woods stay muddy for days after rain. Something out of date? Report a correction. Manage this trail? Send us the details — it is free.
