We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of River Bend Park yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
444-acre riverfront park features rafting, equestrian & hiking trails, picnicking space & wildlife.
What runners say about River Bend Park
“It nice park, seemed very neat and clean.”
“I’ve seen families of deer, rabbits, lots of lizards, and have heard beautiful bird songs.”
“It’s tucked away from the main road but definitely worth it if you want somewhere quiet to be fully immersed in nature.”
Nice place by the American River to go for a walk. Beautiful sunset. We even saw a few salmon swimming around. Tried a little bokeh shot with my S24+. Came out kinda cool. Someone else left the acorns. I just took the shot.
A jewel on the American River Parkway. A large natural space with many trails and a lot to explore. Bring binoculars for wildlife viewing. Today we saw a group of bucks and a huge raft of turkeys. There are areas where picnic tables are available, as well as two restroom facilities. Dogs allowed on leash.
Great park to hang out with family. So much room to walk and bike. You can walk over the river and the views were awesome. There are so many walking paths. Would definitely come back to the park.
Plenty of wildlife to observe and trails to explore. I'd come back for a picnic for sure. This is salmon season right now so there's that. I liked the turkeys and woodpeckers especially. The natural sounds and air was very relaxing for me. 3.3 miles for the day and we'll worth it.
