Confirmed from Riverside Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Public park featuring a playground, a baseball field, and a disc-golf course, plus a dog park.
What runners say about Riverside Park
I like the trials for walking and bike riding but you need to replace the wood chips from the playground area with padding so its not wet and doesn't carry bugs I'm sure it will be nicer and safe for the children.
I walk here nearly every day I love Riverside Park so much,, I wish the bathrooms worked tho they're always locked and the water is constantly running in them (I went into the mens bathroom once before they all got locked,, the sinks are constantly running and the toilets are constantly flushing) there's a water…
The dog park was a little muddy, but my Husky didn't care, but there are other fun things to do here too, like a Frisbee golf course and a hiking trail, overall it's a nice place to relax for you and a great place for your dog to get some exercise.
This park gets a 4 from me because it has no actual trail. It’s grass. Grass is good for walking but not always convenient in all weather. Would love a trail for running. Has a nice dog park that requires no membership!!!!

“It was a nice place to eat our lunch under the shade tree watching the dogs play at the dog park”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
