Confirmed from Riverside Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park and playground offering picnic benches, fishing, trails, and a baseball field.
What runners say about Riverside Park
“There is a great refurbished antique carousel that only costs $1 to ride, and great views of the Eel River.”
The Riverside Park was a great surprise. We asked one of the kids what they wanted to see. A bridge was the main focus for the day. So we searched on Google map and found this park. Upon arrival we notice a playground and carousel. As the kids walked the pathway and crossed the bridge. We seen a sign for a labriyith.
Went there primarily to let the grandchildren ride the carousel. It is beautiful . It's over 100 years old and there are only 3 of this type in the country. It is housed inside a nice building with seating around it and restrooms available. The kids enjoyed it. Check the hours of operation before you go.
There is a loop around the park that is a one way and is oval shaped similar to a horse track. There are plenty of things to do, kids playground, a carousel open in the evenings, basketball courts, pickleball courts, and plenty of areas to walk including over multiple bridges that span the river.
Beautiful trails. Would be nice if they were better lit in the evening. The cameras help you to feel very safe. If ya head out early enough ya may just see a few deer crossing.
