Confirmed from Riverside Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Riverside Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (41 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

I've been in the past, but not recently. They have concerts here and they also have a trail you can walk and a great play area for all the kids to enjoy. I believe there is a dog park there as well. Not 100% accurate on that though, but pets are allowed as long as they are leashed. Enjoy yourself. It's a great place.

Great park , accessable from main road a lot of parking space and it adjoins the riverwalk . It's also a good place to take your dogs . There's plenty of walking , running room for them . Please remember to keep them leashed for their safety as well as others .

It's good. Our senior softball team practiced there today. It's good to get out and run around before the snow comes in the morning.

Great park. Grill out...have a birthday party...dog park...walk the trail by the river.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

“Great place to take your dog, has a basketball court and a baseball field, that's about it,”

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
