Confirmed from Viking Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Viking Trail
Peaceful paved walk. I turned around at 1.75 miles out but still had a ways to go if I walked the whole trail. Saw 3 deer up close.
As you may or may not know-this trail is on the college campus in which at the entrance you must have the barcode on the back of your driver's license scanned. Don't get me wrong-i do understand the interest of who is entering Berry College property, but at the same time had I known this was now a requirement; I would…
Very beautiful, paved trail. Right beside the woods most of the time. It's total length is around 3 miles. It leads from the main campus to the mountain campus. Berry college is a gated college that stops allowing visitors to enter after 7pm.
Going up the big ol' hill at the back of campus is a fantastic hike to take with friends!
Trail conditions & character
“Anyway, it was paved and yes~very scenic, of course.”

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
