Great little scenic walk. It is dog friendly but I wouldn't let your dog swim in certain areas of the river as it had rapids and rocks. I let my Chesapeake swim by the bridge and she did great with it
We really enjoyed the paved walking path along the river. We started from the Ochsner Zoo parking lot. There is a pavilion there with restrooms. The path, although not marked, is just down a steep incline, at the end of the parking lot, and it took us straight to the river walking path.
Need to get off the highway for a bit and found this interesting and restful place. A little walk in the cool air revived us for the trip home. I am sure this is a great place to spend a summer day.
Well kept and clean. I enjoyed the walk along the river . it was so beautiful. We even saw ducks . My granddaughter loved going under the bridge and to the park . Such a great family outing.
