Confirmed from Roche-a-Cri State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Great park for a quick trip or a long hike. My 3 year old was able to conquer the stairs to the 300 ft peak in about 30 min (up and back). Also good for driving in and seeing cool rock faces for any ability level. State park passes are required. Bathrooms are available around the drive path.

A small, but very nice little state park. Went for a simple weekend of camping. Camp ground area is small, but fit our camper well. No flush toilets and no showers, but dump station was east to access. Steps to the top of the rock were a bit of climb, and very was a bit hazy for us. A variety of different trails.

Its an amazing park! I've been coming here since I was a kid. The mound with a little over 300 steps is a highlight, the top is a beautiful overlook of the area especially seeing the trees in the fall for many along with the petroglyphs which are really cool and chickadee rock is a way smaller roochecri mound they…

For people starting to get into hiking or want a simple walk though the woods with their kids, this is a great state park for it. All the trails are flat land walking and 2-3 people wide.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
