Confirmed from Rock Creek Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Rock Creek Park
“Beautiful and peaceful place to walk or play Frisbee golf.”
“I was particularly impressed by the diversity of the scenery, ranging from peaceful wooded areas and flowing creeks to historic sites that add a layer of depth to every visit.”
I've driven by it a thousand times saying, "We need to check that out." My wife, grandson, and I finally went there today. What a nice place. Of course, anytime there is running water, you'll get my vote. There is a nice walking path. There's a disk golf course. Beautiful scenery. Did I say, "Running water"?
Very nice we enjoy the park you can barbecue is very nice to walk and fishing is a small playground and has 2 bathrooms
This park is a nice place to bring your family for a variety of outdoor activities. The trail is a bit less than a mile long, and there is a disc golf course alongside it. Additionally, the park is pretty cool. The creek attracts beavers and ducks and there are squirrels all over. There are lots of amazing sights here.
The atmosphere at this urban oasis is truly exceptional, offering a vast and beautifully preserved natural landscape that provides a perfect escape from the surrounding city bustle.
