Confirmed from Rockdale Pineland Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Rockdale Pineland Preserve
🌿🌞🪨 Rockdale Pineland Preserve: A Living Piece of Florida History Over 40 years ago, Miami-Dade County recognized the significance of urban pine Rockland habitats, and to this day, Rockdale Pineland Preserve continues to thrive—a testament to Florida’s rich natural history.
Nice pineland nature preserve. One of many in the Miami Dade area. One out and back trail, about a mile or so in total. Plenty of birds to see. I spotted 2 peahens and a chick
Some of the last remaining pineland in Miami. It is great for a quick stroll, though there is little shade on the trail. There are interpretive signs along the trail that explain parts of the ecosystem. No dogs allowed, however.

- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
