Confirmed from Rose Canyon Trail Head's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Rose Canyon Trail Head
“Nice and quiet place to go spend some time with nature without having to drive out of the city.”
Neat trail, best accessible for La Jolla ppl. The trail starting from regents road splits into two, one on the right is much shorter ends in Genesee Avenue (they named it bike route), the one on the left is the real route goes for 4 miles ending towards Bothe Ave / route 52.
Ahhh about a 3 mile walk in and out. Nice and quiet. Not really any views. Take the side stairs when u see them, theyre fun. Park at the school and walk across.
Nice and quiet place to go spend some time with nature without having to drive out of the city. The trail is mild and there is plenty of shade from the trees and canyonside
Great little running trail. It's a pretty flat hike, so if you're looking for something a little easier this is a great path. The flowers are also pretty. :)

- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
