Confirmed from Rose Canyon Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Linear park featuring fire roads, creeks and bridges, as well as hiking and mountain biking trails along the floor of a canyon.
What runners say about Rose Canyon Trailhead
“Just a beautiful trail with creeks and bridges next to the railroad tracks.”
“Some shade, but for hotter days definitely plan accordingly.”
“Very pretty and tucked away, not too close to traffic so also a quiet place to walk or run.”
Serene and peaceful trails for non-technical mountain biking and hiking. Beautiful coastal flora right in the middle of UTC. Beware of rattle snakes on the trails!
so beautiful and peaceful. running and standing water. bridges. nature. bugs. lizars. it's awesome
Well maintained linear park along canyon floor. Primary trails are two, wide fire roads on either side of the railroad tracks. A few smaller trails may be found at the western and eastern boundaries of the canyon. The fire roads are safely, and legally, connected via Genesee Avenue.
Great hike. You can make this a quick two hour hike or keep going and make it an all day hike. Lots of diverse landscapes.
