Confirmed from Rose Walk's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Peaceful lake with a 2.3-mile walking trail around it, plus picnic benches and tennis courts.
What runners say about Rose Walk
“Gorgeous walkway along the shore of Lake Junaluska with plenty of free parking, occasional sheltered areas with seating and lovely landscaping.”
Beautiful Fall sunrise over Lake Junaluska. Parking along the Rose Walk. The cool mountain air sweeping gently amongst the leaves of gold amber yellow and green. The geese drift on the lake and happy folks stroll the path. You don't want to miss the next display on the lake.
Rose Walk is a beautiful path going around the lake. It’s about 6200 steps if you take the pedestrian bridge. The views are stunning and there are several places to stop, sit & admire the mountains. There are also tennis courts, canoe rental area, bathrooms and more. Dogs are welcome on a leash.
Very pretty walk beside the lake with seasonal roses planted along the sidewalk. Small terrace at the end cute place for taking photos!
Beautiful lake against the mountain backdrop. True to its name, 'Rose walk' with a lovely variety of roses on the side of the paved path along the lake shore. It's well maintained, beautiful, tranquil, and serene. Saw a few people kayaking in the lake. There's benches along the way to sit and soak in the beauty.
