Confirmed from Rotary Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Big park with playgrounds for kids, plus picnic tables and a pond.
What runners say about Rotary Park
“There are clean restrooms and water and even a bike repair stand with tools attached, however the tools are unusable unless your bike was made before 1990.”
“This really is a beautiful, well thought out park, nestled in a shady live oak grove, and seems to have something for everyone.”
“Nice little park with enclosed area for dogs, pavilions, basketball courts, bathrooms, and a short, shaded path around the pond.”
This park also functions as a trailhead for the River to Sea loop trail. Restrooms are located here, and you can ride 4 miles south to the Cow Creek trailhead and continue on 12 more miles to Maytown.
Nice park where the bike trail starts/goes through. There are clean restrooms and water and even a bike repair stand with tools attached, however the tools are unusable unless your bike was made before 1990. They are rusty and only a couple of wrenches and a flathead and Phillips screwdriver. Nice gesture at least!
I recently revisited this park—my childhood playground—and realized something kind of beautiful: we’re the same age now. We’ve both grown, weathered a few storms, and carry our history in subtle ways. Coming back as an adult hit differently.
Great park! Okay normal playground area. Walking trail around a nice sized pond with a fountain in the middle. A large gazebo in the midst of some beautiful large swamp trees with Spanish moss hanging. We had fun here. A very nice park.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
