Confirmed from Rotary Park Trailhead (Main)'s own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Popular hiking area with playground equipment and a baseball field.

Great park with lots of trails and activities - playground, ballfields, plenty of parking, covered & uncovered tables and lots of hiking trails. Great place to get fresh air and movement. There's a paved track as well as mulched paths. Plenty to do for all ages and families.
Always a delight. The trails are great and my dog and I love this place. He always gets excited and has to put his head out the window when we are on the way there
I love this place walking through the trails is like being up north and not have to drive that far sure wish people would pick up after their dogs more they supply all the bags and a very nice and accommodating. The people I meet on the trails are nice and the dogs are even nicer love to go as much as I can.
Such an easy walk. It’s flat ground and the trails are maintained. Dog friendly. Easy to get turned around, we pull up google maps if we’ve lost track. You can do a short walk in 20 minutes or easily extend it to an hr. There are porta potties on site.
Trail conditions & character
“Great park, just 4 stars because people walk their dogs in the common areas where people and children are, and are not cleaning up after their pets.”
“If you need a trail map, you can use the qr code on any of the trail markers to download a detailed map on your phone.”
“Nice trail, a little extra muddy in spots as they don't use wood chips like other trails.”
“It's large and peaceful spot for meditation sports parties and tons of kids to keep your kids occupied.”
“Rotary Park Trail makes me feel at home because it's like walking through a portal from metro Detroit right into the middle of the Huron National Forest.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
