Confirmed from Roundtree Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Roundtree Park
“Clean, well-kept, and very dog-friendly — perfect for obedience work, reactivity rehab, or just a peaceful walk.”
“Not only is it a beautiful park, but it has a really big shelter (max capacity 60) with bathrooms attached to it, and the parking is not far from the shelter.”
“It’s quiet, open, and has plenty of space for leash walking, recall practice, and calm socialization with other dogs.”

Fun park and playground. The playground equipment was replaced in fall 2020. There's also a picnic pavilion that was replaced in 2020. Playground is next to tennis courts and a short walk to the parking lot. There are also a lot of walking trails and a big field elsewhere in the park.
This park is very nice and has some features that make it stand out. It has long winding paved paths with two bridges and a stepping stone stream. A roof covered picnic area with grills and bathrooms. A well kept basketball court and triple tennis courts. A baseball/softball field with an adjacent open field.
Really great gem of a dog park with a secret path called Holmes Run. We found it! :-D
Great location, and a solid park overall. I was hanging around in Falls Church today. This park caught my eye, and I said why not, let's check it out. Word of warning. Narrow turn into the road that leads to the lot for the park. When using Google Maps it seems to direct you a bit further in the main road.

“We went here recently on a stroller jog with my youngest two and they had a blast.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
