Confirmed from Ruiz Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Small park featuring a playground, wide walking paths and picnic tables.
What runners say about Ruiz Park
Its a cute little park . There's a little play area . But there's not a lot shade so its kind of hot during the summer .
Nice playground for younger littles, maybe eight and under. There are real no climbing elements or any water features. However, there are plenty of spots to sit and shade which is a huge bonus. There are two party/BBQ areas and a large amount of open grass for soccer or baseball.
Very beautiful park nope really out there but has been around since I was a child I grow here and they just remodeled the play area for the kids a couple of years ago nicee place to run in pace overall a good friendly neighborhood
Great park hidden in a neighborhood. Grassy, hilly, kids playground, water fountain. St John's trail is attached, but they have it blocked off with a fence now, and it has really helped keep it cleaner.
Trail conditions & character
“I take my dog for walks there, and she really seems to enjoy it.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
