Confirmed from Rye Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Sprawling sports and recreation area featuring baseball fields, soccer courts and a playground.
What runners say about Rye Park
“Nice fields, has a real bathroom most of the time, always has a couple large clean porta’s (important for kids).”
“8 beautiful pickelball courts, a few lacrosse fields, a few soccer fields, a few baseball fields overall a nice park on the back roads”
Excellent park. Smaller and more low-key than nearby Nevers Park, but with plenty of amenities. Playground with a small duck pond, basketball courts, soccer and football field, and brand new pickleball courts! Also, a very well maintained system of hiking/biking trails.
8 brand new and nicely done pickleball courts. They also have three porta potties available. Other park amenities include various ball fields and basketball. It's a large park that does not tend to be very busy so it's good for walking or kite flying as well.
Mountain biking heaven. There is a hidden amazing mountain biking trail here. We did the purple, which connects through yellow into red. We are exploring more of the trail and will update this post. Also, it is important to keep coming back here so trail stays maintained.
Love the park for my son, we come here often. It has a playground, pond, soccer fields, football field, tennis court, baseball diamond and drinking well water fountain. Only thing I don't like is that the pond is close to the playground and there isn't a fence to keep tots away.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
