I ran and x-country skied the East Post to Rosedale segment for over 20 yrs. Early morning highlights: red fox, gold finches, turkeys, deer everywhere. Weekends it's heavily traveled by a mix of families, runners & bicyclists. South end near the prairie, & Indian Creek Nature Center has many butterflies at times.
We explored the trails around the nature center. So much plant and animal life. We saw an indigo bunting, lady bug larvae, and had a close encounter with a young deer. The trails are nice to walk on and the wetland is a must see!
Great place to be one with nature. Scenic, lots of wildlife all around and good place to walk.
I don't know much about the actual trail, but the fishing there is pretty good!
