Confirmed from Sam Ralston Trailhead Of Big Four Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Paved, peaceful, multi-use path lined with trees featuring maps and picnic tables.
What runners say about Sam Ralston Trailhead Of Big Four Trail
“Definitely recommend it to anyone who's looking to take a peaceful walk on a paved trail in between some corn fields.”
My best trail. We typically start out in Lebanon and ride the 3 miles to Hazelrigg, then another 8 or 9 miles to Thorntown. The trail is paved most of the way but there is a few miles between Havelrigg and Thorntown that are crushed stone. We ride our road bikes but mountain bikes are best for the unpaved areas.
Good, flat running trail. Only got 3½ miles out before I turned around. Could be maintained a little better as there were branches down on path and some rough spots. Overall a good trail that I will run again. BONUS: Titus Bakery is super close to this trailhead
This is a nice trail. It's flat and safe. There are trees on both sides most of the way. It's paved. Super nice for biking, walking, running. Additionally, it is reported that President Lincoln's dead body passed over this place when it was a rail.
The trail is well maintained and clean also it could use a few restrooms, other than that its amazing my family and i are new to the lebanon area and we just love this place look at my son video he is happy running
