Confirmed from Sandstone Ridge Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring a basketball court, grill and playground, plus open lawns for running.
What runners say about Sandstone Ridge Park
“It has been very clean when I've gone, and it's one of only a few places to see Cricket matches in Nevada.”
Nice park. I like to ride my bike here and take my dogs for a walk. My kids like to play basketball at the courts.
It has a play ground for 2-5 yrs and one for 6-10 and has basketball quarts (double rim) a big area of grass for soccer and football and big hills to run. Very nice park to train! Not rly great for playground.
Ok, but a little run down. The playground needs updating between broken equipment and the rubber ground surface. Nice sidewalks to get some steps in around the park. Baseball field has been repurposed for soccer, and there are no benches in the dugouts. Fields have dying grass but that is expected in Vegas.
Very spacious park with a view. Great for walking. Has a bike rail too.
Trail conditions & character
“Alot better now that they fixed/replaced the light around the park.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
