I love this better than Fat Man's Loop. Less people and it goes on forever, plus the incline is gradual with a lot of different scenery. We did this hike in the afternoon and returned around dusk with deer all around us on the trail as we returned to the lot. Definitely coming back again!
Wonderful trail head that leads you a lot of other trails. We always take the heart trail up to the top!! The heart trail is steep and can get really hot in the summer. I would say the spring and fall are the best for this hike
Such a fun place to hike or bike! My kiddos/ dog love coming and running around here! My husband and I like to get a little ride in too! It’s most fun when the ground is moist.
Spent 4 days in Arizona and only saw a few fleeting lizards. Until we hiked here. We saw at least 3 different species of lizards. Baby horned lizards all over. My son's were thrilled. It's also a lot less busy than some other trails. I'm looking at you Buffalo Park.
