Confirmed from Sapienza Gardens' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Sapienza Gardens
“Beautiful secluded walking trails.”
A great place to get away for a walk in the woods. The paths are not too strenuous, there is a lovely sensory garden, fitness trail and some benches to sit and enjoy nature. It's right behind Pascack Valley High School, and the entrance has a small parking lot at the end of St. Nicholas Ave.
Beautiful! This park, dedicated in the memory of principal Sapenzia, is a lovely place to visit. A small bridge crosses a stream that leads to an unpaved trail that diverges to follow a path into the woods OR a butterfly Garten and tennis courts. there is a Fit trail and several jumping platforms as well.
This was once the site of Prenti's Pond, at the end of St Nicholas Ave. It's been filled in, so it's a nice parking area instead of a malarial swamp, and leads to some lovely walking trails among the trees. It's a very nice place for a stroll, although there are some gentle inclines, it's not exactly rigorous.
Boy Scout troop 108 has helped in the renovation of the walking trails. Trail markers, benches, trail head signs and mulch have been added to make your expierence here a more pleasurable one. Come and see all the gardens have to offer. Boy scout troop 108 Eagle project Renovated 2017
