Confirmed from Sauk Rapids Municipal Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Shaded park with playgrounds, swings and well-maintained equipment, plus trails for hiking and biking.
What runners say about Sauk Rapids Municipal Park
“I notice the garbage cans here are never overflowing, and the place is well kept.”
“Its beautiful setting, with leafy trees and a picturesque river, offers a tranquil retreat for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.”
“beautiful mature oak trees provide so much shade, and the path along the river is wonderful.”
A very accessible park for families, a quick solo or small group get away to a shady place, a ballpark, playground, swings overseeing the river, a fire ring, boat launch, bike/walking path, plus shelters for hosting events. Trains are very close to the park which you will hear the rumbling.
Great cycling trails near the river and beautiful scenery. Great place for paddleboarding and kayaking as well. The park is well maintained and a relaxing place chill.
Equipment is in nice condition. They also have a basketball court and a gaga ball court. Trails to walk along the river. A beautiful place to take pictures!
My daughters favorite park! A decent walk from our house, but worth it on a nice day. I wish they’d unlock their bathrooms however, what do I do with a toddler in a stroller and a full bladder with only a port a potty open? No matter. I notice the garbage cans here are never overflowing, and the place is well kept.
